I am Attorney Robert J. Wilson, a partner and DUI lawyer at Hutton & Khalaf. As a Certified Criminal Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, I am an expert when it comes to challenging criminal charges and DUI cases through careful investigation and strategy.
My legal career has been exclusively devoted to the practice of criminal law, which has allowed me to gain a solid understanding of how the judicial system works. Drawing from my experience as a former prosecutor, I am often able to prepare a case by predicting how the opposing side will approach a case.
I am a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award, and I have handled more than 200 DUI cases and assisted hundreds of drivers with matters related to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
"At Hutton & Khalaf we pride ourselves on our personal representation of each client. We will be present at each critical stage in the process to ensure the best possible outcome for every client." - Attorney Robert Wilson
Not only have I represented accused individuals before various administrative legal bodies, but I have also testified before the California State Legislature regarding proposed legislation. I also write opposition letters on behalf of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice related to DUI proposed legislation. I am a past president of the Criminal Courts Bar Association (CCBA), member of the California DUI Lawyers Association, past chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association, past member of the Board of Governors of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ), and a current member of the Legislative Committee. I, along with Attorney Richard Hutton, currently chair the Rules of the Road DUI Seminar for CACJ.
I frequently lecture on matters related to DUI and alternative sentencing for a number of organizations, including several bar associations such as the State Bar of California, Pasadena Bar Association, Criminal Courts Bar Association, California Public Defenders Association in Berkeley, and the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. I have been selected for inclusion in the list of Southern California Super Lawyers® multiple times and have won various other awards, such as CCBA’s Award for community involvement. I am also the former chairman of the Pasadena Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section and first vice-president of the Criminal Courts Bar Association.
